Khaas ("Khaas," "we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you visit or use the Khaas website, mobile applications, and related products and services (collectively, the "Service").

This Privacy Policy is intended to apply across our web and mobile experiences, including iOS and Android versions of the Service, unless a separate notice says otherwise.

By accessing or using Khaas, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

Khaas is a moderated creator platform that enables creators to publish content, build audiences, and offer free or paid access to digital content and related experiences.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information.

A. Information you provide directly

  • Name
  • Username and profile information
  • Email address
  • Phone number, if you choose to provide it
  • Profile photo, cover photo, bio, and social links
  • Creator profile details and payout onboarding information
  • Content you upload, post, publish, send, save, record, or otherwise make available through the Service
  • Messages, support requests, safety reports, appeals, survey responses, and other communications you send to us

B. Information we receive when you sign in or connect accounts

If you sign in using Apple, Google, or another third-party login provider, we may receive basic account information such as:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your profile image, if provided by that service
  • A unique identifier associated with that provider

We do not receive your password for those third-party accounts.

C. Purchase, subscription, payout, and payment-related information

If you subscribe, purchase content, receive payouts, or otherwise use paid features, we or our service providers may collect and process information such as:

  • Transaction amount
  • Currency
  • Purchase date and time
  • Subscription status
  • Product, plan, or package purchased
  • Payout-related details
  • Limited payment metadata and processor identifiers
  • Refund, reversal, dispute, reserve, chargeback, fraud, or risk signals
  • PPV delivery, unlock, access, view, playback-start, screenshot/screen-capture attempt, revocation, and refund-abuse-prevention metadata

Payment card details are generally processed by our third-party payment processors or app-store billing providers and are not stored by Khaas except as necessary for transaction support, reconciliation, compliance, reporting, risk review, and dispute handling.

If you purchase through Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may process your payment directly and provide us with transaction and entitlement data needed to verify purchases, manage access, handle fraud or abuse, and support refunds, revocations, or compliance obligations.

For PPV / pay-per-view unlocks, we may record metadata showing when a purchase was requested, verified, delivered, opened, viewed, streamed, downloaded, subject to a screenshot or screen-capture attempt, revoked, refunded, or affected by a chargeback. We do not store private content payloads in these refund or abuse-prevention records.

D. Usage, analytics, and device information

We may automatically collect information such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Device identifiers, app instance identifiers, or similar technical identifiers
  • Operating system and app version
  • Language, time zone, and general device settings
  • App and website interactions
  • Session activity and feature usage
  • Crash logs, diagnostics, performance data, and troubleshooting data
  • Cookies, local storage, SDK signals, and similar technologies

E. Creator and subscriber activity

We may collect information about how users interact with the Service, including:

  • Content views
  • Likes, follows, subscriptions, purchases, and engagement actions
  • Media uploads and storage usage
  • Creator analytics and audience metrics
  • Wallet, balance, or credit activity where applicable
  • Account settings, consent states, and preferences
  • Reports, moderation flags, review outcomes, sanctions, trust and safety history, and appeal activity

F. Safety, moderation, and abuse-prevention information

To protect users, comply with law, and enforce our rules, we may collect, create, or infer information such as:

  • Signals from automated moderation systems applied to text, images, audio, video, thumbnails, captions, metadata, and links
  • File hashes and similarity signals used for safety detection and abuse prevention
  • Signals related to suspected fraud, impersonation, spam, prohibited content, chargeback abuse, sanctions risk, or attempts to evade enforcement
  • Notes and decisions created by human reviewers handling reports, appeals, support, or enforcement actions

3. Device Permissions and Similar Access

Depending on the features you choose to use, Khaas may request access to certain device capabilities. We request access only when needed for a user-facing feature.

A. Camera

We may request access to your device camera so you can capture photos or videos for profile images, creator uploads, stories, posts, verification, or similar creator and community features.

B. Microphone

We may request access to your device microphone so you can record audio with video or create audio-enabled content when you choose to do so.

C. Photos and videos / photo library

We may request access to photos, videos, or your photo library so you can select media to upload, update your profile, publish creator content, or save media where supported.

Where platform tools allow it, we may rely on a system picker or limited library access so that you can choose specific photos or videos rather than granting broader device access.

D. Notifications

If you opt in, we may send push notifications or local notifications for account activity, creator activity, purchases, subscriptions, comments, messages, product updates, security alerts, or similar service notifications. You can change notification permissions in your device settings.

E. Other device capabilities

If Khaas later introduces features that require other protected device capabilities, we may request access at that time and update this Privacy Policy and any in-app disclosures as appropriate.

Denying certain permissions may limit features that depend on that access, but it will not typically prevent you from using unrelated parts of the Service.

4. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, debug, and improve the Service
  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Authenticate users and keep accounts secure
  • Process subscriptions, purchases, payouts, credits, wallet balances, and related records
  • Verify app-store purchases and determine entitlement status
  • Deliver creator content and paid features
  • Evaluate PPV delivery, consumption, technical-failure, refund, revocation, chargeback, and abuse-prevention signals
  • Personalize user experiences and recommendations
  • Communicate with you about your account, purchases, subscriptions, product changes, support matters, and safety issues
  • Send service messages, transactional communications, and notifications you request or allow
  • Monitor platform performance, reliability, and abuse
  • Detect, review, investigate, and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, chargeback abuse, prohibited content, child-safety risks, and other harmful or illegal activity
  • Enforce our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, app-platform rules, payment-partner requirements, and other policies
  • Use automated and human-assisted systems to review content, links, metadata, and account behavior for moderation, trust and safety, and compliance purposes
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Maintain internal records, audits, and financial reporting
  • Develop new features and improve safety, trust, product quality, and user support

5. How We Share Information

We may share information in the following situations.

A. With service providers and infrastructure partners

We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the Service, including providers for:

  • Hosting and infrastructure
  • Authentication and identity services
  • Payments, billing, reconciliation, and payouts
  • App-store purchase verification
  • Media storage, processing, streaming, and delivery
  • Analytics, diagnostics, logging, crash reporting, and fraud prevention
  • Safety, trust, moderation, and abuse-prevention tooling
  • Email, messaging, and notifications
  • Customer support and case management

These parties may access information only as needed to provide services to us, subject to contractual or legal restrictions.

B. With other users or the public

Depending on your settings and activity, certain information may be visible to other users or the public, including:

  • Username
  • Profile information
  • Creator pages
  • Public or preview content
  • Engagement counts and similar public-facing activity

Please do not share personal information you do not want others to see.

C. For legal, safety, platform, and compliance reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Enforce our agreements, policies, and rules
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Khaas, our users, or others
  • Detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, payment abuse, sanctions risk, or illegal activity
  • Report child exploitation material, non-consensual intimate imagery, threats, fraud, or other unlawful or dangerous activity where required or appropriate
  • Respond to requests or requirements from payment processors, app platforms, insurers, banking partners, vendors, or trust and safety providers relating to risk, disputes, fraud, policy enforcement, or platform safety
  • Share purchase, delivery, access, consumption, refund, account-tenure, and abuse-prevention signals with Apple, Google Play, Stripe, card networks, payment processors, or related providers where reasonably necessary for disputes, refunds, revocations, chargebacks, fraud review, legal obligations, or platform-policy obligations

For Apple consumption-data requests, Khaas sends customer-consented consumption information only where Khaas has a valid consent or policy basis required by Apple. If that consent or basis is unavailable, Khaas does not send the Apple consumption response.

D. Business transfers

If Khaas is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that process, subject to applicable law.

6. Cookies, SDKs, and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in
  • Remember preferences and settings
  • Support core site and app functionality
  • Measure usage and performance
  • Improve reliability and security
  • Support analytics, moderation operations, and debugging

You may be able to control some cookies through your browser settings, but certain features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

  • Provide the Service
  • Maintain business, trust and safety, moderation, and financial records
  • Resolve disputes, appeals, and customer support issues
  • Enforce agreements and platform rules
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment-partner, and app-platform obligations
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, prohibited content, or security incidents

Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the reason we hold it. We may retain certain moderation, safety, billing, dispute, or enforcement records longer where necessary for legal compliance, child safety, platform security, payment disputes, abuse prevention, or account-integrity purposes.

When you request deletion, deletion takes effect immediately for account usability and public visibility inside Khaas. We remove the public profile, creator handle routing, and user-visible content from normal product flows immediately after the request is processed.

Recoverable personal data then moves into a limited internal retention state for up to 30 days so we can complete deletion workflows, handle narrowly scoped disputes or fraud review, and preserve system integrity. After that window, we hard-purge recoverable personal data unless a valid legal hold or similar obligation applies.

We may retain a minimal subset of internal records for longer where required or permitted by law, for fraud prevention, security, chargebacks, audits, tax and accounting obligations, trust and safety, or other legitimate compliance needs. Where feasible, those retained records are anonymized or pseudonymized.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to:

  • Access certain personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a copy of certain data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

You may also update certain account information through your account settings.

You may manage certain permissions through your device settings, including camera, microphone, photo-library access, and notifications.

To request deletion of your account or personal data, you may:

  • Use the in-app or web deletion flow we make available within the Service, or

If you request deletion and later sign in again, Khaas creates a fresh account state. Deleted posts, media, profile history, or other deleted account data are not automatically restored, and previously deleted public handles are not automatically reassigned.

If you purchased a subscription through Apple App Store or Google Play, you generally need to manage cancellation and renewal through your Apple or Google account settings. If you purchased a Khaas-managed recurring subscription directly from us, we stop future renewals for upcoming cycles when your deletion request is processed. Refunds, billing timing, and store-managed subscription controls may also be subject to Apple or Google rules.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission, storage, or security measure is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

Khaas is not intended for children under the age of 13, or a higher minimum age where required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information unlawfully, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, tools, services, or creator-managed destinations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before using those services.

13. Creator Content and User-Generated Content

Khaas hosts content submitted by creators and users. If you choose to upload, publish, send, or otherwise share content through Khaas, that content may be accessible to others depending on your settings, purchases, subscriptions, or the structure of the Service.

To maintain platform safety and compliance, content submitted to Khaas may be reviewed by automated systems and, in some cases, human reviewers.

You are responsible for the information and content you choose to make available through the Service.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
